PROJECT DETAILS

The project involves the construction of an offshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal with a capacity of 5.5 billion m3 of natural gas per year and a storage capacity of 170,000m3 of LNG in Alexandroupolis, Greece.

Construction work started in Q2 2022 and is forecast to complete in Q1 2024.

The project aims to supply gas to southeastern Europe via a natural gas pipeline scheme that will cross through Greece, utilizing the Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria (IGB).
